This is a beet root and hummus raw vegan sandwich on sun bread (raw sprouted bread). It was so tasty and so filling. From The Wild Food Cafe in Neal’s Yard, London which is close to Tottenham Court Rd. tube. It’s a mostly raw vegan cafe.
Super Easy Vegan Pizza! <3
I made vegan pizza from scratch tonight for myself and a friend. Super easy with with this recipe for the dough.
My toppings:
Tomato & Basil tomato sauce (store bought)
Spinach
Chestnut Mushrooms
Dairy-Free Mozzarella Cheese (from Whole Foods)
So tasty!!
This is one of the most amazing lunches. Avocado on rye bread with lime juice and chilli flakes.
You can this in Prufrock cafe in London! (Make sure to ask for no butter if you’re vegan)
Accidental Fruitarian Day
Because London is completely covered in snow, I didn’t venture outside today to do my grocery shopping and so I ate the end of my fruit stock.
Avocado with lime juice, salt and pepper [it’s amazing! especially on toast but I don’t buy bread]
Persimmon Nog Smoothie (see previous blog post for recipe)
1 whole cantaloupe melon
and I treated myself to another avocado for supper.
More of this fruitarian behaviour I say.
Vegan brownie!
I ate most it before realising maybe I should tell Londoners about this. It’s from the Gallery Cafe on The Old Ford road. It’s really near Bethnal Green tube.
They sell vegetarian and vegan breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts. Super cute and chilled cafe, not that expensive either.
Banana Porridge
1/2 cup oats
1 cup water
1/2 banana mashed
Porridge them all up! Top with sliced banana!
Extras: a drop of vanilla extract, or xylitol sprinkled on top.
That’s my freshly brewed coffee too :) It’s snowing here in London so instead of a smoothie I wanted something warm.
Vegan Munchies
Most people buy greasy take-away food, chips and kebabs after a night out.
I bought avocados, persimmons and coconut water…even I’m surprised at myself sometimes.
Vegan Sweet Potato & Coconut Soup!
Really easy and so tasty, reminded me of a curry a bit. Recipe here!
The roasted balsamic honey carrots weren’t my favourite, though I’m not a fan of cooked carrots anyway.
I’m sure if you wanted to do a quick version, you could microwave the sweet potato instead of baking.
Let me know what you think! :)
My breakfast this morning was a Persimmon Nog smoothie. I can’t describe how tasty this is, and I had never tried persimmons before this! No really…try it, and let me know!
1 persimmon
6 pitted dates
1 can of coconut water
Dash of cinnamon to taste.
BLEND!
And that’s it, glorious. I got the recipe from Kristina FullyRaw here
Healthy Baked Sweet Potato Fries (no oil!)
Sweet potato fries are one of my weaknesses. Most of the time people will hear me say “I can’t wait to go home to make some sweet potato friiiiiies”
My tip is to add honey to them, it’s beautifully tasty. Make sure to slice them quite thin as well.
